ҹɫСƵ alumnus SGT MAJ Michael R. Weimer named top enlisted leader of U.S. Army
ҹɫСƵ would like to congratulate alumnus SGT MAJ Michael R. Weimer NU’15 on his recent appointment as the new Sergeant Major of the U.S. Army.

As the service's top enlisted leader, Weimer oversees the force and assures they are ready for war. His new role also requires Weimer to serve as the face of the U.S. Army, along with supervising personnel issues within the branch.
Weimer joined the U.S. Army in 1993 and earned his Green Beret in 1996. He served as a Special Forces weapons sergeant and was part of the 7th Special Forces Group, as well as serving 19 years within the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC).
His service to his country also included serving as USASOC’s operations (G3) sergeant major, with tours in the United States Central Command and United States Southern Command areas of responsibility. A decorated soldier, Weimer has been awarded three Bronze Stars and Joint Service Commendation Medal with valor, along with two Purple Hearts, in his military career.
